This was really a sweet year for me! I think having kids and learning the balance of work, travel, parenting, sleeping… it’s all been a journey. I shot about twelve weddings this year, a bunch of families, and a handful of engagement sessions. I also got to spend quite a bit of time in the mountains. I love shooting in new places and in places where nature is the element of beauty in a photograph.

In this collection of photos, I have also included my favorites from my 365 day photo project I did of my boys (you can see them all here) called "The Marvelous Mundane." I feel like that was very much a part of learning this year, and also creating. When you're stuck (or more like forced to be) in a house with your boys all day, every day and you're forced to find beauty and something new in the mundane every day, that can be the greatest learning of everything you will do. It also does something inwardly to your heart when you look at your photos a year later. I’m continuing my project this year.

Thank you everyone who played a part in these photographs. You have touched my heart in a way that I cannot express. I’ve enjoyed working with everyone this year and I’ve enjoyed this journey of learning and creating. I’m looking forward to all that 2016 brings to me and my family!
