Where to start…. how about starting at Philip's parents house almost 30 years ago when my mom started having contractions to have me.
That’s how long Philip and his precious family have been in our lives. Through ups and downs and crazy adventures in the states and overseas, we have all done some pretty fun stuff. Philip has been a brother to me and also a close friend to my brother and family. His dad was a huge reason I chose the field of photography as my career. I remember being around the age of ten and walking through Philip's dad's photography studio in Charlotte and saying to myself, "In another life...I want to be a photographer." How sweet is that? And almost two decades later, I'm shooting his son's wedding.

Laura came into our lives a few years ago and has the most beautiful glow about her. I look at her and think, "In another life… I want to be as beautiful as Laura." (I did say that to my husband during their wedding.) She is filled with such a beautiful fragrance and intoxicates everyone around her. Her crystal blue eyes leave you speechless. It's no wonder Phil fell for her heart and her beauty.

Phil and Laura chose the meadows of Grandfather Mountain to have their sweet bohemian wedding. Laura chose the best of the best (my personal favorite): a Free People crop top wedding dress complete with Free People sandals to seal the deal. From start to finish this wedding made our hearts fly. Since I knew so many people at their wedding, it felt like a big family get-together. This was definitely not a work day for me, but a treasured time for me to be released to create and help these two remember this glorious day.

I’m so honored that they allowed me and my husband to shoot their wedding day. It means the world to us both.
