Phil and Laura are getting married near Boone, NC in the meadows of Grandfather Mountain this summer. So we decided for their engagement photography that we would embark on a glorious adventure up the Blue Ridge Parkway.

They love the outdoors, they love the wild, the free, the fun, and the adventurous and they wanted their engagement session to have that same feeling. As we drove, we stopped the car whenever we felt like it and jumped out to shoot. We started on the Blue Ridge Parkway, we climbed to the top of mountains, and then we stopped the car for the finale of running through tall thick green wild grass and watching the sun set over the mountains. Their summer, rustic, outdoor, bohemian Blue Ridge Parkway wedding is going to be so incredible!

We also teamed up with Bohemian Ink, who did custom hand-lettering for their invitations, signs and save-the-dates.

This session means a lot to me because I've known Phil my entire life. He has been family to me. I'm so thrilled to see him marry Laura! She is stunning and beautiful inside and out.
